After his and Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, Neha Wadhera and Suryakumar Yadav put together a match-winning partnership. They scored 140 runs, with Suryakumar Yadav smashing 83 runs. His knock witnessed seven boundaries and six sixes.

Meanwhile, Nehal Wadhera remained unbeaten in the innings. He slammed a six to get to his fifty and take Mumbai Indians home. He scored 52 runs off 34 deliveries, with four boundaries and three sixes. The Mumbai Indians chased down the target in the seventeenth over, with six wickets in hand.

Nehal expressed that Suryakumar Yadav is a top-class player. He added that the veteran batter boosted his confidence during the game. Nehal said,

“Surya bhai is a top-class player and I also try to copy some of his shots but I cannot. While he was batting I was talking to him and he was saying ‘Keep playing, keep playing’ and he was giving me confidence. He told me, ‘If both of us bat till the 15th-16th over, we can finish the game even early.’ And that’s what we did.”
