Chennai will host the first qualifier and elimination round. The championship will be held in Ahmedabad on May 28. From May 23 to May 28, 2023.

The IPL 2023 playoffs and final venue information were released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday. Chennai and Ahmedabad will host the semifinals and championship games

On May 23 and 24, Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be held at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium. Both Qualifier 2 and the IPL 2023 championship games will be played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on May 26 and May 28 respectively.

The IPL championship game will be held in Ahmedabad. The home stadium of the Gujarat Titans has a 132,000-seat capacity for the second year in a row.

Prior to hosting the final on May 29 between the eventual champion Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 season. Ahmedabad will host Qualifier 2 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

For the first time since 2019 though, an IPL playoff game will be played in Chennai. Five such games including two finals (2011 and 2012) have been held there overall.

IPL 2023 has played 28 matches so far and the 2008 champion Rajasthan Royals are currently atop the standings with four victories in six games.

The Lucknow Super Giants, who are second in the table have written a script that is similar but has a lower net run rate. With just one victory in six games—a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday—the Delhi Capitals are currently last in the standings.

IPL Playoffs schedule for 2023:

Qualifying Round 1: Chennai, May 23.

Chennai, May 24: Eliminator.

Qualifier 2 is on May 26th in Ahmedabad.

The last day (Ahmedabad) is May 28.
