The 41st game of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) will feature a match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings.
There have already been eight games for both teams. CSK has five victories, while PBKS only has four.
Both teams would like to pick up where they left off after losing their respective last games.
On Sunday, April 29, this match will take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. In the three games played here so far this season, teams batting first have won two of them.
A competitive score would be anything between 165 and 170. In the middle overs, spinners can have a significant impact.

1. Maheesh Theekshana vs Shikhar Dhawan
One of the few spinners who enjoys playing in powerplay overs is Maheesh Theekshana. The upcoming match pits him against Shikhar Dhawan. In 116 IPL innings, Dhawan has only been victimized by spin 18 times, so he hasn’t really been troubled by it there. Against Theekshana in the IPL, the southpaw scored 15 runs off 11 balls without being struck out.
2. Liam Livingstone vs Ravindra JadejaÂ
CSK would prefer to send Liam Livingstone early because he can cause some significant damage in the middle overs.
He was fired by Ravindra Jadeja during their lone IPL encounter.
Even so, the England dasher has only scored 114 points overall in 13 IPL matches, falling victim to left-arm spinners four times.
Jadeja has faced right-handed batters on 111 of his 143 IPL wickets.
3. Kagiso Rabada vs Ruturaj Gaikwad
Both Kagiso Rabada and Ruturaj Gaikwad begin the proceedings in their respective departments. Therefore, they must fight each other. Although he has allowed 33 runs off 21 balls in this match, Rabada has already twice dismissed Gaikwad in just four IPL games.
This season, Gaikwad has a 153.27 powerplay strike rate. In IPL 2023’s current phase, Rabada has three wickets (ER: 9.83).
