Delhi Capitals beat the table toppers Gujarat Titans in a low scoring encounter. Delhi posted a total of 131 in 20 overs for the defending champions, in reply Gujarat Giants lost 4 wickets inside 40 runs.

Gujarat Titans lost their star batsman Shubman Gill for 6 runs. The game was set for another low scoring thriller after RCB and LSG clash. Titans got a much needed partnership when Hardik and Manohar were on crease after the loss of early wickets.

However, Gujarat lost Manohar in the 18th over. He played a crucial knock of 26 in 33 balls. The game was all on Tewatia and Skipper Hardik Pandya to finish things off, but Ishant Sharma showed up in the last over defending 12 runs.

In the Second last over, when Gujarat needed 33 to win in 12 deliveries. Tewatia smashed the speedster Nortje for 3 consecutive sixes. Rahul Tewatia is often the rescue man for Gujarat Titans in chase.

Delhi Capitals 131 was a pretty good total for the team, considering they lost 5 wickets inside 30 runs. Mohammed Shami was at his best against Delhi Capitals. The Premier bowler for Indian team took 4 wickets giving away only 11 runs in his 4 overs.

Sunil Gavaskar on Warner’s run out

Former Indian Cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was unhappy with Warner’s run out. He said on commentary that it was entirely Priyam Garg’s fault,  Sunil Gavaskar said during commentary, “Where was the run? There was no run. It is entirely Priyam Garg’s fault. He sold his captain down the river.”

Ishant Sharma bowled a Knuckle ball to dismiss Vijay Shankar. The DC bowler also dismissed Tewatia in the last over to defend 12 runs. Shami and Siraj are in top form, with WTC finals coming up right after IPL. These are good signs for the Indian Cricket team.
