Eoin Morgan, a former captain of England, noted that MS Dhoni has been enjoying his time with Chennai Super Kings this season and that his absence from the competition will be felt greatly.

MS Dhoni has been enjoying his time with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023, according to former England captain and World Cup winner Eoin Morgan, who also noted that his absence will be greatly felt when he hangs up his boots.

When discussing Chennai Super Kings’ victory over SunRisers Hyderabad at Chepauk on Friday, April 21, Eoin Morgan noted MS Dhoni’s exuberant and animated speech.

When MS Dhoni spoke with renowned broadcaster Harsha Bhogle, he was at his most open and honest. He discussed the Chepauk crowd’s support, CSK’s young bowlers, and his joking grumble that he didn’t win the best catch of the game award after taking a stunning catch to dismiss the opposing captain Aiden Markram.

Following the one-sided game, Dhoni was also observed interacting with a group of kids from the opposing team, imparting knowledge during the quick conversation while the SRH players listened to him with rapt attention.

The focus was squarely on MS Dhoni, who appeared to be relishing what may have been his final IPL season.

“The interview’s most important lesson, in my opinion, was that. All that was present was his energy. It really exuded a lot of class, but it also made clear how much pleasure he was taking in from leading this group, Morgan told Jio Cinema.”

“You can observe his animated demeanour in the locker room. Just after the game, Saw is imparting all the knowledge he has accumulated over the years. He is incredibly humble to realize that he was in the wrong place, in fact. Not at all.”

“It’s simply wonderful to see. He has been a great leader for them, and they are very appreciative. However, you won’t truly understand how much you miss him until he leaves. It will be felt that way. His influence on the side’s key performers and players is significant. When he’s done, they’ll miss him, he continued.”

On Friday, MS Dhoni made a retirement implication when he expressed his gratitude for the chance to experience the Chepauk crowd’s support in the ‘final stages’ of his career.

In the final delivery of SRH’s innings, Dhoni, a seasoned wicketkeeper, took a catch, performed a stumping, and successfully executed a one-handed, gloves-off run-out.

In order to limit SRH to 134 before finishing off the total in the 19th over, CSK relied on Ravindra Jadeja’s three-wicket haul and Devon Conway’s 77 not out.

On Sunday, April 23, CSK will travel to Kolkata to take on Kolkata Knight Riders, who are currently in third place on the points chart.
