The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) is about to start with Chennai Super Kings will face defending Champions Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 31 March 2023.

Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi are known for their famous movie 3 Idiots. The trio was shooting for a new video promo for Dream 11 and IPL.

The video saw the three actors criticizing Indian Cricket Team players before they will enter the field of cricket because the cricketers were entering into the business field including advertisements.

The video shows that many cricketers laughing and making fun of Aamir Khan for his idea of playing cricket.  Commenting on Aamir, Rohit Sharma says, “Lagaan mein cricket khelke koi cricketer nahi ban jata (one doesn’t become a cricketer by playing in a film).”

“2 sal mein ek hit deke koi Hitman nahi ban jata (one doesn’t become a Hitman by giving 1 hit film in 2 years),” added Rohit Sharma.

Continuing the same topic, Bumrah even questioned whether the trio can play 150 kmphs on the field. Even Hardik Pandya was involved in the banter as he said, “ek bouncer aayega, zameen pe aajaoge (if just one bouncer hits you, you will fall to the ground).”

IPL 2023 season promises to be a blockbuster

The Indian Premier League 2023 promises to be a blockbuster season. There are a total of 10 teams with 2 groups of 5 teams each. Each team will play the other group teams twice before playing within the group once.

This season marks the return of home and away matches. Every team will have 7 home matches and 7 away matches. Various franchises suffered major blows due to injuries and few are doubtful for the same reason.

Gujarat Titans will look to defend the title winning the trophy on the first occasion in 2022. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants have been clubbed in Group A.

Group B comprises Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings.
