There is no word on when Das will return to India; he has returned home to attend to a family emergency. Only one IPL 2023 game has been played by the wicket-keeper batter.

His return has not yet received any updates, a team official was quoted as saying by news outlet PTI. In the previous year’s auction, Das was purchased by KKR for Rs 50 lakh. Only one game, against the Delhi Capitals, was played by him in the 2023 season.

Liton Das recently became a part of KKR because he was a part of Bangladesh-hosted Ireland. After assisting the Bangla Tigers in their 7-wicket victory in the Test match, Das joined KKR.

The 28-year-old only took the field once, against Delhi Capitals, opening the innings alongside Jason Roy, scoring only four runs. He was then left out of the starting XI for the following games against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
