With their fifth victory of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season on the line, Delhi Capitals will host Punjab Kings.

When faced with defeat, PBKS will expect their superstars to pick themselves up and move on, whereas DC want to place as highly as they can. As a result, many individual conflicts will result from the confrontation between the two teams.

 

The highly anticipated players battle from match 59 are presented here:

1. Arshdeep Singh vs David Warner

They will try to catch David Warner early because of his outstanding record against PBKS. With the new ball, Arshdeep Singh may initially trouble the Australian.

In five IPL innings, he hasn’t managed to get the Australian out. In actuality, Warner has scored 45 runs against him (SR: 150).
During this season’s Powerplay, the DC captain has been demoted four times.

2. Sam Curran vs Axar Patel

Throughout this season, Axar Patel has served as DC’s finisher. Sam Curran, an all-rounder for PBKS, will be his opponent in the death overs (17–20), where he has performed well.

Axar is currently the fourth-highest run-scorer (130 runs) in the death overs phase with a strike rate of 178.08. While Curran has taken six wickets in this phase (Economy: 10.98).

3. Khaleel Ahmed vs Shikhar Dhawan

The rock-solid foundation of PBKS has been Shikhar Dhawan. Khaleel Ahmed will therefore try to have him fired as soon as possible.

Dhawan has been suspended once and been unable to score freely in six IPL games under Khaleel. Dhawan only scored 22 runs against him at a dismal strike rate of 95.65 percent.
In the Powerplay this year, he has been kicked out three times.

4. DC spinners vs Liam Livingstone

It’s been a mediocre season for Liam Livingstone. His strike rate against spinners this season is only 88.6 points, which results in three dismissals.

The main opposition for Livingstone will be Kuldeep Yadav and Axar. In two IPL matches, he was defeated once by Axar and managed just two runs. The last time they met was during IPL 2022, and Kuldeep fired him.
