After losing to the Rajasthan Royals by three runs on Wednesday, MS Dhoni criticized the batters for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023. Even Dhoni and Jadeja’s late blitz couldn’t prevent RR from winning in the end.

On Wednesday, April 12, MS Dhoni criticized the CSK batters, saying they should take responsibility for the three-run defeat to RR.

On Tron Hetmyer, RR had set the strength of Jos Buttler’s fifty and some late hitting from Shimtarget of 176 runs for CSK at the Chepauk. Ajinkya Rahane and Devon Conway were able to rebuild the CSK innings after losing Ruturaj Gaikwad early.

After a strong comeback, RR stopped the run-scoring by taking some key wickets and delaying the CSK chase. The final fireworks display from Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja came a little too late, as RR eked out a victory to move to the top of the standings.

After the game, Dhoni said that CSK needed strike rotation during the middle overs and that the batters from CSK ultimately needed to take responsibility for the defeat.

Dhoni’s last-minute blitz was ineffective as RR defeated CSK

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, cited the middle-over slump as the cause of his team’s three-run loss to Rajasthan Royals in an IPL game on Wednesday.

Even though Dhoni, who scored 32 off 17 balls, was unable to hit a last-ball six. He believed that the match’s outcome was decided between the seventh and fifteenth overs.

Early on in the competition, he and Ravindra Jadeja were the final batting pair. There were still too many overs to be bowled. While considering the NRR, you cannot push yourself hard.

“We continued it slightly later in the middle overs. There were more singles we could have taken. And we couldn’t just go all out right away,” the former India captain said.

Following his three big sixes, Dhoni claimed that he had been waiting for the bowler to make mistakes.

“I have a few strong interests. I simply watch for the bowlers to make a few mistakes. During the final over, the bowler felt a little bit of pressure. You must support yourself. My ability to aim for accuracy is my strength. He was also dissatisfied that his batters were unable to benefit from the dew factor. After the first few attempts, it got fairly simple as we could see how much dew was present. Our bat work needed to be improved.”
