IPL 2023 is yet to be started, but MS Dhoni is in the news. MS Dhoni has arrived at the Chepauk Stadium, the home ground of Chennai Super Kings, and has been practising hard in the nets ahead of IPL 2023.
The fans are really excited to witness their home team playing at the stadium, recently Chennai Super Kings uploaded a video to the Instagram handle showcasing the clip of determined Dhoni sweating and smashing the ball in nets all over the park.
The wait for the home crowd is finally over! Chennai Super Kings are to play a number of home matches at Chepauk Stadium, it has been more than 3 years since the team last played at the venue.
Chennai Super Kings will be playing against Lucknow Super Giants on 3rd April 2023 at their home ground Chepauk Stadium. Chennai Super Kings are coming off from a disastrous last season of the Indian Premier League where they finished in the 9th spot with just 4 wins from the 14 matches played.
MS Dhoni is all set to take on the opponents
The team has made several changes in their squad after the mega auction and brought emerging and talented players like Subhranshu Senapati, Rajvardhan Hangrekar, Ben Stokes, Shaikh Rasheed, Nishant Sindhu, and Dwaine Pretorius in their camp for IPL 2023.
Chennai Super Kings are expected to play their first match against the defending champions Gujarat Titans, on 31st March 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium.
The CSK side will be looking to retain their old glory, and make a bounce back in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. MS Dhoni has retained the captaincy for the side and will be expected to lead the side.
It will be interesting to watch, whether the side can rise from the ashes this time or play inconsistent like the previous edition. Moreover, the players have been confident and looking forward to their first match against the Gujarat Titans.
