The Mumbai Indians registered an emphatic win against the Rajasthan Royals in Match 42 of the 2023 Indian Premier League on Sunday, April 30 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Several records were broken during the match, as Mumbai Indians chased down a record total. This was the first time in the history of the tournament, a 200-plus score was successfully chased at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The previous best was also by MI against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in 2019. Meanwhile, Super Sunday (April 30) witnessed four 200-plus scores in a day. The Punjab Kings also chased down 201 runs against the Chennai Super Kings earlier in the day.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record-breaking century
Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal broke several records with his stunning century against the Mumbai Indians in Wankhede Stadium. His 124 runs knock is now the highest individual score by an Indian for the Rajasthan Royals. He broke Samson’s record of 119 against Punjab Kings in 2021.

He is only behind Manish Pandey (19y, 253 days), Rishabh Pant (20y, 218 days), and Devdutt Padikkal (20y, 289 days) in the special list. Jaiswal also holds the record for smashing the highest individual score in the IPL as an uncapped player.
