After being fired, Nitish Rana got into a heated argument with Hrithik Shokeen. On Sunday, April 16, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Nitish Rana-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) square off in the 22nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
The KKR captain, Nitish Rana and MI’s off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen, however, got into a heated argument after the latter dismissed the latter during the match, which resulted in an ugly incident.

To date in his IPL career, Nitish Rana has participated in 96 games and has amassed 2331 runs at an average of 28.43. Additionally, he has scored 16 half-centuries with his highest IPL total coming in at 87 runs. 202 fours and 121 sixes have been hit by Nitish Rana during his IPL career.
Nitish Rana’s services were purchased by the Kolkata franchise for Rs 8000,000,000 in the IPL 2023 Auction.
Nitish Rana was tricked into hitting the ball into the hands of the long-on fielder by Hrithik Shokeen, who kept the ball out of his batting range before the batter stepped out. Rana and Shokeen don’t get along well and play for the same state team in domestic cricket.
Shokeen appeared to have given Nitish Rana a verbal send-off as he left the field by saying something that irked the KKR captain who responded angrily and was about to charge the bowler when Suryakumar intervened.
As things became more heated, MI captain Suryakumar Yadav and veteran spinner Piyush Chawla intervened separating the two players.
Prior to the game skipper, Suryakumar provided a status update on Rohit’s condition. “Would love to bowl first; the wicket looks dry,” he remarked. “Later, the ball comes on to the bat nicely. Rohit is not feeling well due to a stomach bug. It’s time to perform well. Duan Jansen joins us, and the rest of the plan remains unchanged”.
