Suryakumar Yadav’s game-winning innings for the Mumbai Indians (MI) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday was praised by Ravi Shastri and Aaron Finch.

Coach Suryakumar Yadav has a promising future, according to Ravi Shastri. On Tuesday, May 9, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Suryakumar scored 83 runs in 35 balls to help Mumbai Indians (MI) defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

 

Shastri asserted that no coach in the contemporary era is capable of teaching Suryakumar’s shots.

As MI chased down 200 in 16.3 overs, the batter hit seven fours and six sixes.

Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, the five-time champions also set an Indian Premier League (IPL) record for the most balls remaining in a successful 200-plus chase.

Shastri also believed that for RCB to have any chance of preventing MI from reaching the target, they needed to take early wickets.

“We are familiar with SKY and are aware of its superior quality. The instruction manuals are revised by him. We were taught to play in the V up front when we played. Throwing all of that behind him, he effortlessly teaches everyone to play in the V. Given that the RCB attack is their weak point, you anticipated that it would be threatened. They would be in trouble if they didn’t get going quickly and kept chipping away at the wickets, Shastri warned Star Sports.

“He has a promising future as a coach. There is no other contemporary coach who will instruct players how to play those shots, so he is the only one who can do it. “I’ve been there, done that, and this is how you do it,” Surya will reportedly say.”

Aaron Finch, a former Australian captain, praised Suryakumar for his outstanding stroke play against Faf du Plessis’ team.

“He is surrounded by a lot of options on the ground. He has the option to hit any ball you bowl, regardless of the field you set up. He has elevated it to new heights. Because he does whatever he wants, I don’t know if there is a coaching manual for it. He always seems to be one step ahead, according to Finch.”

After Gujarat Titans (GT) and MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK), MI moved up from eighth to third in the points standings thanks to Suryakumar’s performance.
