IPL 2023

The 47th game of the IPL 2023 season will pit Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders. Both teams are currently ranked eighth and ninth, respectively, despite their struggles to obtain the desired victories this season.

Since KKR has played one more game than SRH, the latter could fall in the standings.

We outline the key player battles prior to the clash

1. Rahmanullah Gurbaz vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

In the powerplay overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will try to give his team a strong start. He has enjoyed bowling against KKR.
For KKR opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Buvi, who will try to buy assistance from the ground in Hyderabad, could be a problem.
Gurbaz faced three deliveries without scoring during the previous match before being dismissed by Bhuvneshwar.

2. Nitish Rana vs Mayank Markande

In the IPL 2023 season, Mayank Markande has excelled for SRH, taking down 10 opponents so far. He will be motivated to dismiss a batsman like Nitish Rana in the middle overs.

The leg-spinner has only given up 29 runs in 22 deliveries over three innings while bowling to Rana. Rana hasn’t been kicked out yet and has a strike rate of 131.81.

3. Aiden Markram vs Varun Chakravarthy

Despite fluctuating in the IPL 2023, Varun Chakravarthy leads KKR in wicket-taking with 13 kills. He will face a challenge from SRH captain Aiden Markram, a skilled spinner.

With a 192 point85 responding strike rate, Markram destroyed Varun for 54 runs off of 28 deliveries. Markram has already been fired by Varun once.

4. Abhishek Sharma vs Sunil Narine

Abhishek Sharma, the team’s opener, will be relied upon by SRH to get things going well. Sharma can set the tone since Sunil Narine will probably be introduced in the powerplay overs.

In his previous encounter with the seasoned spinner Narine, Abhishek pounded the West Indian for 38 runs off of 19 balls.
With three sixes and two fours against Narine, Abhishek has a 200 strike rate.
