Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will try to rebound against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai today (April 4), as per the IPL schedule, after having a rough start to their IPL 2022 campaign.

The team led by KL Rahul defeated the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday. A strong batting performance assisted the newly established franchise in finishing off a massive total of 210 runs.

But in their previous matches, SRH and LSG each allowed 210 runs to be scored against RR and CSK. But both IPL teams have strong bowling units with a variety of options.

Let’s take a look at the top three bowlers in today’s crucial match between SRH and LSG

1. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi excelled against CSK after being ineligible for the match against Gujarat Titans. He was the best bowler against the Yellow Army, conceding just six runs per over while taking the two crucial wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Robin Uthappa.

The DY Patil Stadium, which has given spinners the most support this season among all four IPL venues (11 wickets at a strike rate of 20.07), will be even better suited to bowl to the 21-year-old.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s most recent performance against SRH is something that Bishnoi would like to emulate. With his three wickets, Chahal deceived them.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s performance in SRH’s opening match against RR was inconsistent. He mistakenly believed he had Jos Buttler out early in the innings, but he went too far and gave the dangerous opener a reprieve.

However, despite the barrage from the RR batters, Kumar was the only SRH bowler to allow less than 7.5 runs per over.

The pacer, who was born in Uttar Pradesh, will be eager to frustrate his home franchise’s openers by moving the ball both ways. And he’s a tough customer because of his ability to nail Yorkers.

3. Jason Holder

LSG will be strengthened by the arrival of Jason Holder even though they are still awaiting Marcus Stoinis. Holder has finished his quarantine period and will likely join the starting XI right away.

The Caribbean all-rounder will bring a wealth of expertise to the LSG bowling lineup, which is comparatively inexperienced. In addition to being able to bowl accurate yorkers and bouncers, the right-arm is also equally proficient with both new and used balls.

Additionally, the West Indian pacer has a talent for kicking off his IPL seasons strongly. Holder bowled match-winning spells of 3/33 and 3/30, respectively, in his opening matches in IPL 2020 and IPL 2021. As a result, look for him to make a difference today against his former team.
