Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs, sending them packing from the IPL 2023. With a goal of 182, Akash Madhwal’s sensational 5-fer helped MI to restrict LSG to 101.
Naveen ul Haq was outstanding for LSG with the ball and claimed four wickets, limiting MI to a par score of 182/8; however, the batters’ abysmal performance let the team down. When LSG’s team was eliminated from the IPL in 2023, fans flooded social media with Mango trolls, so LSG muted words like “sweet mangoes,” “mango,” and “aam.”
Lucknow Super Giants had a fantastic IPL 2023 season. Despite rarely winning at home, the team survived KL Rahul’s loss early in the competition and advanced to the playoffs. LSG, however, was unable to advance past the Eliminator after losing horribly to the Mumbai Indians by the score of 81 runs.
Naveen Ul Haq made headlines after getting involved in a rift with Virat Kohli
The game against RCB at home where Virat Kohli, Naveen ul Haq, and Gautam Gambhir got into a physical altercation was the highlight for LSG this season.
Virat Kohli was the target of Naveen ul Haq’s trolling on Instagram. After Mumbai Indians defeated RCB, Naveen made fun of Kohli by posting a picture of him cheering on RCB while mangoes were on the table. Naveen indicated his satisfaction with RCB’s defeat by titling the post “Sweet Mangoes.”
Naveen continued to make fun of RCB after the team was eliminated from the playoff race. But as the saying goes, you get what you sow, and after LSG’s IPL elimination, Kohli fans brutally mocked Naveen. With “sweet mango” trolls for Naveen and LSG, the fans flooded social media. Because of the trolls’ influence, LSG was forced to muffle words like Mango, Sweet, and Aam.
