The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday, May 28.

The defending champions GT have continued to rule this season as well, topping the league phase points table. CSK has also played well this season and placed second in the group stage.

In Qualifier 1, the two teams faced off against one another, and Chennai defeated Gujarat to advance to the championship game.

Then, in the second qualifier against the Mumbai Indians, Shubman Gill hit a brilliant hundred to lead his team to a convincing victory.

Prior to the IPL 2023 championship game, former CSK players Suresh Raina and Ashish Nehra interacted with the players. This year, Nehra is the Gujarat Titans’ head coach, and Raina will be doing the commentary.

Aakash Chopra on CSK captain MS Dhoni’s use of Moeen Ali in the IPL 2023: “He is neither getting him to bat nor bowl”.
Aakash Chopra provided a preview of the CSK team before their match against GT in a video posted to his YouTube channel.

According to the former Indian cricketer, ”MS Dhoni may give Moeen Ali a bigger role in the championship game because he has only used him sparingly so far”.

Chopra stated:

”Moeen is not at all being used by Captain Dhoni. He is not getting him to either bowl or bat. And He has given him some consideration. He might have a good night tonight. The pitch will be favorable for batting, so Jadeja may perform well with the bat but his bowling may not be effective here”.

He continued:

“Dube will have some issues against spin. In the most recent game, Noor Ahmad also got rid of him. They will now attempt to trap him using spin bowling rather than fast bowling”.

”Ajinkya Rahane’s performance in Chennai has been lacking. Since leaving Chennai, he has added to his run total. He has returned, and I believe he can score runs here. One possibility for the No. 1 bank is Ajinkya Rahane”.
