Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the hearts of the ground staff at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Cheapauk. He thanked them for their hard work during the 2023 Indian Premier League season and signed autographs for them. The wicket-keeper batter also distributed cash rewards on behalf of the franchise.

Chennai Super Kings shared a video on Twitter featuring Mahendra Singh Dhoni with the ground staff of the Chepauk Stadium. It was the home ground for the franchise in the 2023 Indian Premier League season. He was seen signing autographs for them in the video. The Chennai Super Kings also rewarded the ground staff by distributing cash rewards on the ground.

Sharing the video on Twitter, they wrote, “Anbuden Thala – A mark of respect for the markers and the ground staff who toil hard to make us game ready!”

 

MS Dhoni has shown how to win big matches: Sourav Ganguly

Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly was all praise for the Chennai Super Kings and their skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The franchise finished the league stages of the 2023 Indian Premier League, second with 17 points.  They have sailed through to the final by defeating the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 at Chepauk. Talking about their performance, Sourav Ganguly said to India Today,

“Chennai Super Kings and MS Dhoni have been fantastic. They have shown how to win big matches. Dhoni has been remarkable in his captaincy. He has shown how to win big matches.”

Chennai Super Kings will play the finals of the 2023 Indian Premier League on Sunday, May 28 in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will play Qualifier 2 to book a spot in the finals.
