I think Tim David will be the game-changer: Sunil Gavaskar

Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels Tim David will be the game-changer for the Mumbai Indians in the 2023 Indian Premier League. He expressed that the all-rounder can change the game in a couple of overs. Gavaskar also named Cameron Green as another player who could be the trump card. He said on Star Sports,

“I think it (game-changer) will be Tim David. He is the kind of player who can change the game in a couple of overs.”

“Cameron Green is someone who will make a big difference with bat and ball. He might even bat at No. 3 because when he has opened the batting for Australia, he has scored so many runs so quickly,” he added.

Last season, Tim David slammed 186 runs in six innings, at an average of 37.20 and a strike rate of 216.27. The Mumbai Indians signed Cameron Green for a whooping Rs 17.50 cr at the auctions. Both players will be looking to play a vital role for the franchise. The Mumbai Indians will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore to begin their campaign on Sunday, April 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
