IPL 2024

Chennai Super Kings will host Lucknow Super Giants in the reverse fixture to be played in Chennai on 23rd April 2024. It promises to be an excellent encounter as CSK will be looking to return to winning ways after their 8-wicket loss to the same opponent in Lucknow.

CSK has been undefeated at their fortress in CSK so far and would be looking to continue their dominating run. On the other hand, LSG will have a tough ask and will put the best forward against CSK.

It promises to be an exciting encounter between CSK and LSG at Chepauk today. Both teams have quality players that can change the course of the game.

Here we look at the 3 player battles to look out for in match number 39 between CSK and LSG of IPL 2024:

  1. Mohsin Khan vs Rachin Ravindra

Mohsin Khan had the wood over Rachin Ravindra in the previous match in Lucknow. Mohsin castled stumps of Ravindra with beauty-shattering stumps to leave CSK in early trouble. On the other hand, the stylish left-handed NZ player Ravindra would be looking to prove his worth when these two players come again to Chepauk today.

It will be an interesting battle between these two players again. Rachin Ravindra would be hoping to showcase his skills against Mohsin Khan and make sure to give a flying start to the CSK team in the first six overs.

  1. KL Rahul vs Matheesha Pathirana

KL Rahul put on an excellent display of batting against CSK in the previous match, scoring 82 off 53 deliveries that laid a strong foundation for LSG to chase down the target of 177 easily. On the other hand, Pathirana struggled with his bowling as KL Rahul took the charge putting him Lankan bowler under pressure.

Pathirana eventually dismissed KL Rahul with a stunning catch by Ravindra Jadeja. It will be interesting again between these two players. This time, Pathirana would be looking to dismiss KL Rahul early to put pressure on the LSG batting order.

  1. Shivam Dube vs Ravi Bishnoi

Shivam Dube was dismissed cheaply when these two teams met in Lucknow. On the other hand, Bishnoi gave away 44 runs in 4 overs picking only the wicket of Moeen Ali.

Dube would be eager to come back into form with another solid display of batting. This battle might decide the fate of this match in the middle overs.
