IPL 2024: Dinesh Karthik Opens Up On Key Match Ups Between RCB And KKR
KKR vs RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Kolkata Knight Riders in a highly anticipated IPL clash to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 29th March 2024. Virat Kohli will be eager to showcase his domination in today’s clash. RCB registered their first victory in this edition defeating Punjab Kings by 4 wickets. On the other hand, KKR registered a thrilling 4-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at home.

There are a lot of superstars in this clash with Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Rinku Singh from the KKR side. Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell would be the ones to watch out for in today’s clash.

The Indian Premier League 2024 has seen every home team winning 9 matches so far. It promises to be an exciting contest between the top two quality batting lineups. Dinesh Karthik played a key role scoring 28 off 10 balls and putting on 48 unbeaten runs with impact player Mahipal Lomror.

“Virat Kohli vs Gautam Gambhir (smiles). Mitchell Starc to Glenn Maxwell will be very interesting. Varun Chakravarthy to me (Dinesh Karthik) will be very interesting,” Dinesh Karthik said in RCB’s match preview on Friday, 29 March.

Gambhir returned to being the mentor for his old franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024.

Virat Kohli vs Gambhir Fight

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were involved in a serious fight during the 2023 edition of IPL. The fight took place during RCB’s home game against Lucknow Super Giants at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. During that time, Gambhir was the mentor for the LSG side.

Kohli and Gambhir were involved in a heated fight after the match. Amit Mishra and others had to intervene to bring the situation to normal. Lucknow Super Giants won that match by 1 wicket chasing down a massive target of 217.

“It is not about Naveen-ul-Haq. I would have defended any player, that is my job, that is how I am. Why should I not defend my players just because someone has a broadcaster working for him, left right, and center, someone who has more social media presence doesn’t have any right to walk over someone. If I cannot stand with my players, then I have no right to be in that dressing room,” said Gambhir.
