Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a big win over Punjab Kings in the final league match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 19th May 2024.

Chasing 215 runs to win, Head was brilliantly bowled by Arshdeep Singh off the very first delivery of the innings. Abhishek Sharma looked in positive touch along with impact player Rahul Tripathi showing intent keeping the scoreboard ticking. Tripathi’s quickfire knock ended with a good slower delivery. Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma put on 72 runs for the 2nd wicket.

After the field restrictions, Abhishek Sharma put on an excellent display of batting along with Nitish Reddy. Abhishek made the batting look easy completing his fifty off 21 deliveries. It was a sensational knock by Abhishek Sharma dismissed for 66 from 28 deliveries with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Abhishek and Reddy added 57 runs for the 3rd wicket.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Klassen kept the momentum going for SRH with some lusty hits not allowing the PBKS bowlers to settle. Harshal Patel got rid of Kumar Reddy as Shivam Singh took a good catch. Nitish Reddy and Klassen added 47 runs for the 4th wicket.

Despite some fight by PBKS bowlers, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match comfortably by 4 wickets with 5 balls to spare. For his 66 off 28 deliveries, Abhishek Sharma was named the player of the match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers struggled with the attacking batting display by Prabhsimran Singh and Atharva Taide. T Natarajan kept his cool getting the opening breakthrough dismissing Taide. Cummins and Vijayakanth took 1 wicket each while a brilliant piece of fielding by Nitish Reddy on his bowling ran out Shashank Singh.
