Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Deepak Chahar feels Mahendra Singh Dhoni can play in the Indian Premier League for a couple of more years. The wicket-keeper batter will be leading the franchise in the upcoming 2024 season. They will head into the tournament as the defending champions.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was speculated to retire after the 2023 Indian Premier League season. Since then, many have expressed their thoughts on his future. However, Dhoni has confirmed that he will be playing in the upcoming season. Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Deepak Chahar expressed that Dhoni still has it in him to play for a couple of more years. He said in a video shared by Aakash Chopra,

“In T20s you retire when you feel 140kmph is extremely fast. Last year, you see how MS Dhoni hit sixes against 145kmph and we see that in the nets as well.”

“He will play this year. I think he will decide after this season. I personally think he can play for two years,” he added.
