Faf du Plessis’ team-mate Dinesh Karthik is also approaching the same milestone. He has smashed 143 sixes in the Indian Premier League and needs seven more to complete the 150 mark.
Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan is the nearest to achieving the feat in the upcoming game. The Punjab Kings skipper has hit 148 sixes and needs just two more to get to the landmark.
Most catches in IPL
Virat Kohli has a prolific record in the Indian Premier League. Along with his brilliant batting record, he has also been an outstanding fielder. The veteran cricketer is just four catches short of surpassing Suresh Raina in the list of Most catches in the tournament. Kohli has taken 106 catches in 237 matches, while Raina has 109 in 205 matches in the Indian Premier League.
150 wickets in T20 cricket
Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh has had a good T20 career so far. He will be keen to make an impact for his franchise in the 2024 Indian Premier League season. The pacer is also approaching a special milestone in his T20 career. He has 147 wickets in T20s and needs three more to reach the landmark of 150 wickets.
