RCB vs PBKS

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host Punjab Kings in their first home game of IPL 2024 to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 25th March 2024. Both teams are coming off with contrasting results.

RCB lost their first match against Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets while Punjab Kings registered a 4 wickets win over Delhi Capitals. Faf du Plessis, Kohli, Maxwell should click big time to put pressure on PBKS bowlers.

Both teams have quality players who can change the course of the match with their abilities.

Here we look at the 3 player battles between RCB and PBKS in match number 6 of IPL 2024:

  1. Virat Kohli vs Arshdeep Singh

Virat Kohli struggled in the first game after 2 months long break. He was impressive hitting 21 runs but failed to convert it into a big score. Arshdeep Singh bowled with great control against Delhi Capitals with 2 wickets giving away 28 runs in his 4 overs.

Arshdeep Singh would look to provide early breakthroughs to put pressure on Royal Challengers Bengaluru, especially Kohli. On the other hand, Kohli would look to dominate and put enough pressure on the Punjab Kings.

It promises to be an exciting encounter as both players look to do the job and register a victory for their respective teams.

IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru strongest predicted playing XI against Chennai Super Kings

  1. Shikhar Dhawan vs Mohammed Siraj

Shikhar Dhawan looked in fluent touch till his stay during the first match against Delhi Capitals. The pitch at Bengaluru promises to be a belter of the pitch as the southpaw is expected to make the bulk of the runs.

Mohammed Siraj could not provide early wickets against Chennai Super Kings. He will be eager to do early damage and not allow PBKS to score runs freely in the first six overs.

It will be an interesting battle between these two players. Dhawan would look to score runs while Siraj would be eager to pick wickets and put pressure on PBKS batters.

  1. Glenn Maxwell vs Rahul Chahar

Glenn Maxwell was dismissed without opening his account against CSK. He would be looking to showcase his domination and hit big shots on a brilliant batting paradise at Bengaluru.

Chahar had a great outing when he played his last IPL game at this venue, giving away 22 runs and taking wickets. Maxwell would be looking to dominate and put on an excellent display of batting that will help RCB win the match.

Chahar bowled decently in the previous match against Delhi Capitals and would be doing the same against RCB.
