Gujarat Titans Kept Their Hopes Alive

Gujarat Titans kept their slim hopes alive of reaching the playoff stage. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan looked in sublime touch right from the word go putting on an excellent display of batting. GT openers kept the momentum not allowing CSK bowlers to settle. Gill and Sai completed their centuries putting on 210 runs for the opening wicket.

After their wickets, David Miller and Shahrukh Khan could not hit big shots as Gujarat Titans made 231 for 3 in 20 overs. Gujarat Titans had a dream start as David Miller hit a direct hit to dismiss Rachin Ravindra in the first over itself. Sandeep Warrier got rid of Rahane while Umesh Yadav dismissed CSK captain Gaikwad to leave them in big trouble at 10 for 3.

Mohit Sharma changed the momentum in favour of the Gujarat Titans getting wickets of Mitchell, Moeen Ali, and Shivam Dube. Rashid Khan took the wickets of Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santer to help GT register victory. It was a disciplined bowling effort as Mohit Sharma took 3 for 31, Rashid Khan 2 for 38, Sandeep Warrier and Umesh Yadav took 1 wicket each.
