IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number 35 of IPL 2024 to be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi on 20th April. It promises to be an exciting encounter as SRH will be high on confidence after posting a record 287 for 3 against RCB as Head, Klassen, and Abdul Samad made merry of weak bowling lineup.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals will be looking to make use of the conditions as they registered a thumping 6 wicket win over Gujarat Titans. Both teams will be looking to showcase their skills and gain 2 valuable points.

Both teams have quality players who can change the course of the game with their abilities.

Here we look at the 3 player battles to look out for in match number 35 between SRH and DC of IPL 2024:

  1. Khaleel Ahmed vs Travis Head

Travis Head looked in sublime form during the previous match against RCB. He showed intent right from the word go putting enough pressure on the bowlers and taking the advantage of first six overs. Head made the batting look easy keeping the momentum going for SRH.

On the other hand, Khaleel Ahmed bowled brilliantly against Gujarat Titans not allowing them to score runs easily. He would look to keep Head under control in the first six overs and pick his wicket putting some pressure on the SRH batting lineup.

Khaleel Ahmed would be looking to continue his superb form for recall to the Indian team against Head’s exploits.

  1. Rishabh Pant vs Pat Cummins

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant had an outstanding game against Gujarat Titans. He was brilliant with the wicketkeeping with 2 brilliant stumpings, 1 superb catch. He also remained not out on 16 which helped DC win the match easily.

On the other hand, Cummins looked the bowler apart against RCB. He took 3 for 43 in his 4 overs which changed the match in favor of SRH. Cummins would be eager to bowl in the middle overs while Pant could bring his explosive nature of batting which might help DC.

  1. Kuldeep Yadav vs Klassen

Kuldeep Yadav had an impressive outing in the previous match against Gujarat Titans. Despite not picking any wickets, he was economical. On the other hand, Klassen looked in sublime touch with a quickfire cameo against RCB. He came at number 3 after the fall of Head’s wicket.

Klassen has performed brilliantly for SRH depending on the situation. The real challenge for Kuldeep Yadav would be against Klassen in the middle overs. Kuldeep would play a major role in dismissing him and putting brakes on the SRH batting lineup.
