Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Indian cricketer Suresh Raina recently commended his former teammate MS Dhoni. This recognition followed Dhoni’s remarkable catch during the IPL 2024 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday, March 26.
The notable incident occurred in the eighth over of the second innings in the seventh match of IPL 2024 between CSK and GT at the Chepauk Stadium. Titans batsman Vijay Shankar edged a delivery from CSK all-rounder Daryl Mitchell during the over.
The ball went to the wicketkeeper’s right side. MS Dhoni quickly dove to catch it, getting his team a third wicket. Fans have been showing lots of love for Dhoni, praising his amazing agility on the field, even though he’s 42 years old.
Suresh Raina also showed his admiration for his former captain through an Instagram post, describing him as an inspiration to everyone. He shared a post about MS Dhoni and captioned it:

CSK secured a convincing 63-run win against GT, thanks to a well-rounded performance. The batting lineup performed admirably, posting 206/6 in the initial innings despite losing the toss. The bowlers then backed up their teammates by limiting GT to 143/8 during the chase.

During the post-match presentation, Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad shared his thoughts on the victory, stating:
“It was a near-perfect game for us. A team like Gujarat always challenge you and it was great to come up with a performance like this. In Chennai when you are not sure what the pitch will be, it is important to have wickets in hand. Rachin batted brilliantly in the powerplay and we were ahead in the game.”
He continued:
“Shivam played brilliantly and not to forget Rizvi. In terms of confidence, Mahi bhai and the management worked with him. He knows what kind of a role he is playing.”
”Definitely Shivam is a big plus for us. I think pretty much same. I am very much impressed. We have got two three youngsters which might be making a difference.”
CSK’s next match is against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday (March 31) in Vizag.
