MS Dhoni was seen attending a movie with his CSK teammates at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai on Saturday, March 23. The Chennai Super Kings kicked off their IPL 2024 campaign against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Friday, March 22, at the Chepauk Stadium.
The yellow team started their season with a convincing six-wicket victory over RCB. Following their win, several CSK players, including MS Dhoni, decided to unwind by watching a movie at Sathyam Cinemas.
Upon discovering this, fans flocked to the theatre in large numbers and enthusiastically chanted for their beloved Thala as the players exited the cinema hall. Yesterday, MS Dhoni and the players of CSK attended a movie screening at Sathyam Cinemas.

“The way he played the bouncers – well done, Shivam Dube” – Aakash Chopra praises the CSK all-rounder
Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra assessed the batting strengths of CSK after their successful start in the IPL 2024 season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Highlighting the collective effort from the team’s batsmen, Chopra specifically commended Shivam Dube’s resilience against short-pitched deliveries. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra stated:
“In the second innings, everyone gave small, small performances, whether it was Ruturaj Gaikwad at the start, Rachin Ravindra or Daryl Mitchell, but the performance that was closest to my heart came from Shivam Dube’s bat.”
He continued: “They were just trying to bowl bouncers against him. He can play bouncers and he has shown that by doing it repeatedly. You stopped spin as soon as he came in because Shivam Dube will hit them a lot. So his reputation came before him. The way he played the bouncers – well done, Shivam Dube.”
