Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Virat Kohli gifted a bat to Rinku Singh following the conclusion of the 2024 Indian Premier League match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, March 29 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Kolkata Knight Riders won the match by seven wickets, chasing 183 runs.

Following the match, Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh were seen having a chat. The Royal Challengers Bangalore shared a video on social media from the post-match interactions. In the video, Virat Kohli was seen having a chat with Rinku Singh and also shared a warm hug. He also gifted Rinku Singh a bat. The Kolkata Knight Riders shared a picture of the duo, captioned,“The bond we love to see!@RCBTweets”

Rinku Singh took to Instagram to thank Virat Kohli for sharing his experience and valuable input. He also thanked the veteran cricketer for gifting him a bat. Taking to Instagram stories, Rinku Singh shared the Kolkata Knight Riders post thanking Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli’s performance in IPL 2024 so far

Veteran batter Virat Kohli has been in good form for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2024 season. He is the leading run-scorer so far in the tournament. He has scored 181 runs at an average of 90.50 and a strike rate of 141.41. Virat Kohli slammed 83 runs off 59 deliveries, including four boundaries and as many sixes in the last match against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, Rinku Singh did not get an opportunity to make an impact in the last game. The Kolkata Knight Riders chased down 183 runs comfortably on the back of a solid performance by the top-order batters. Venkatesh Iyer smashed a fifty in the match, while Shreyas Iyer stayed unbeaten on 39 runs. Sunil Narine also played an outstanding hand of 47 runs, off just 22 deliveries, at a strike rate of 213.64, opening the innings.
