IPL 2024: Virat Kohli Requires Four Sixes Against SRH To Be In An Exclusive Club

Virat Kohli, the batting sensation, needs to hit four sixes against Sunrisers Hyderabad during RCB’s seventh league stage match of the IPL 2024 on Monday (April 15) in Bengaluru to become the second Indian and fourth batter overall to reach 250 sixes in the IPL.

Kohli, who has represented RCB in all 17 seasons of the IPL, has hit 246 sixes in 243 matches. Chris Gayle, the former RCB opener (357), Indian captain Rohit Sharma (272), and Ab de Villiers (251) are currently ahead of Kohli on the list of batters with the most sixes in the IPL.

Kohli, who holds the record for hitting the most sixes in the IPL for a single team, will be a crucial player for the Faf du Plessis-led side on Monday against SRH. In the previous IPL match between the two teams, Kohli smashed a century to guide RCB to victory while chasing a target of 187 runs in 19.2 overs.

Once again, he will aim to deliver a strong performance to boost his team’s struggling campaign in IPL 2024. The upcoming match against SRH is crucial for RCB as they must win to maintain their chances of reaching the playoffs without depending on the outcomes of other teams.
