In the CSK vs GT IPL 2024 match at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, March 26, Ajinkya Rahane made an impressive catch to dismiss David Miller. Miller scored 21 runs off 16 balls, including three boundaries, before departing.

The dismissal occurred in the 12th over of GT’s innings. Tushar Deshpande delivered a full-length ball on the leg stump, which Miller flicked into the air. Rahane dove forward at deep mid-wicket to complete the catch.

The wicket led the Super Kings to diminish GT to 96/4 after 11.5 overs. Rahane’s catch followed MS Dhoni’s diving catch to his right, dismissing Vijay Shankar, who scored 12 runs off as many balls. You can watch the video here:

CSK is outplaying GT in the IPL 2024 clash

CSK is dominating GT in the current IPL match. At present, Gujarat stands at 119/6 after 15.5 overs, with Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia batting. CSK, batting first, posted a total of 206/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Shivam Dube played a key role with the bat for the Super Kings, scoring 51 runs off 23 balls, including five sixes and two boundaries.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra contributed 46 runs each off 36 and 20 balls, respectively. Daryl Mitchell added 24 runs off 20 balls, while debutant Sameer Rizvi made a quick 14 off six deliveries. Star spinner Rashid Khan stood out as the top-performing bowler for Gujarat, claiming figures of 2/49, while Sai Kishore, Spencer Johnson, and Mohit Sharma each took one wicket.

In the IPL 2024 opener on March 22, CSK defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets. The team led by Ruturaj Gaikwad will now take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (March 31).

In contrast, GT clinched their first victory against Mumbai Indians (MI) by six runs in an exciting match. Shubman Gill and his team will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next match on Sunday.
