IPL 2024: [WATCH] Arjun Tendulkar Mastering Yorkers In Mumbai Indians Nets
Arjun Tendulkar

In preparation for IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians’ left-arm pacer, Arjun Tendulkar, showcased his prowess in delivering yorkers during a recent practice session. Having joined the MI camp to gear up for the upcoming season, Tendulkar’s display of skill was captured and shared on the team’s official Instagram account. In the footage, Tendulkar impressively aimed his yorkers precisely at the toes of the batsman, causing him to struggle for balance.

The Mumbai franchise is scheduled to commence its IPL 2024 journey with a match against Gujarat Titans on March 24 in Ahmedabad. Tendulkar, who made his IPL debut the previous year, played four matches, securing three wickets despite conceding runs with an economy rate of 9.36.

With the return of Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the previous season due to injury, the bowling department of Mumbai Indians received a significant boost, as noted by former Australian cricketer Tom Moody.

Moody said: “Jasprit Bumrah in any side, it’s going to be a considerably better side with him in the playing XI than not in the playing XI. So missing a player like Jasprit Bumrah is a massive miss. He can not only take wickets in the powerplay but he has got that incredible ability to close games out at the death. So they are really adding to their strength by having such a world-class bowler fit and available.”

Moody shared his analysis of MI’s bowling lineup during the Star Sports show ‘Game Plan’, highlighting the challenges and expectations surrounding new captain Hardik Pandya.

“They (MI) expect nothing but excellence, which is what you will expect of any high-performance environment. So Hardik’s challenge is managing that expectation and allowing himself and his whole team to be able to play with that freedom, without that pressure sort of filtering into the dressing room.”
