Harshal Patel Issues Warning To Naveen-ul-Haq

During the ongoing match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Harshal Patel delivered a stern warning to Naveen-ul-Haq for attempting to leave the crease before the ball was bowled.

In the final over of the Lucknow Super Giants’ innings, Harshal Patel was bowling to Krunal Pandya with Naveen-ul-Haq positioned at the non-striker’s end. As Patel prepared to deliver the ball, Naveen-ul-Haq made a move to leave the crease prematurely.

Rather than removing the bails, which would have resulted in a run-out, Patel chose to halt his run-up and address Naveen-ul-Haq directly. He conveyed a message to the Afghan player, instructing him to stay within the crease boundaries before returning to his bowling position.

LSG secure a comfortable win over PBKS

Lucknow Super Giants concluded their innings with a competitive total of 199 for 8 in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock played a pivotal role, scoring 54 runs off 38 balls to provide impetus at the start of the innings. Despite early dismissals of KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal, Marcus Stoinis contributed 19 runs.

De Kock found a reliable partner in Nicholas Pooran, forging a vital 47-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Pooran’s quickfire 42 off 21 balls bolstered the team’s total. In the closing stages, Krunal Pandya showcased his prowess with an unbeaten 43 off 22 balls, propelling Lucknow Super Giants to a formidable score.

Krunal Pandya post match said: “I like to play situations, I am prepared that way, I am quite flexible, can bat anywhere from number 3 to number 7. Just want to go out there and contribute.”

“I like to prepare, take cricket as an exam. Like to prepare, but the result is not in my hand. 199 is a good total, if we bowl smartly we can defend this. The surface has changed, much better than last year. Need to adapt to the conditions. Need to bowl accordingly and see how it goes.”

Harshal Patel’s vigilant stance against Naveen-ul-Haq’s premature movement exemplified fair play during the match, which saw notable contributions from Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran, and Krunal Pandya in shaping Lucknow Super Giants’ innings.
