Mumbai Indians (MI) have an unconventional method of disciplining players who are tardy to team meetings, requiring them to parade in front of the public wearing jumpsuits as part of the penalty. Recently, Ishan Kishan was observed undergoing this discipline.

Furthermore, MI has had a dismal beginning to its 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, suffering three consecutive losses without a single win. Despite being five-time champions, they have yet to earn their first points under their new captain, Hardik Pandya.

MI competed in their latest fixture at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, their home ground, facing off against the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Unfortunately, they suffered a defeat by six wickets. They now have a considerable break to regroup before their upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday, April 7th.

The MI players were observed at the airport following their latest match. Kishan, Kumar Kartikeya, Shams Mulani, and Nuwan Thushara were seen wearing a Superman jumpsuit adorned with the Mumbai Indians’ logo as part of their penalty.

They also sported a light-blue cape to complement the ensemble. MI later posted a video on Instagram showcasing the four cricketers wearing the Superman jumpsuit and cape during their entire journey.

Mumbai Indians prepare for a series of three back-to-back home matches

Mumbai Indians aim to secure their first win of IPL 2024 as they face the Delhi Capitals at their home ground in the upcoming match. It’s noteworthy that MI’s next three games of the tournament will be held at the Wankhede Stadium, presenting a prime opportunity for the Hardik Pandya-led team to capitalize on.

MI have been dominant when playing on their home turf and aim to reverse their fortunes in the upcoming matches. Following their encounter with DC, MI will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and their long-standing rivals, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), on April 11 and April 14, respectively.

Having suffered three defeats in as many games this season, MI currently occupies the bottom spot on the points table with zero points and a negative net run rate of 1.423. They are currently the only team without a win in IPL 2024.
