Shreyas Iyer‘s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured an eight-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 final in Chennai on Sunday, May 26. After the win, Iyer was spotted celebrating with the trophy at the team hotel.
Iyer held the IPL 2024 trophy as he entered the hotel. The KKR captain lifted the trophy and performed a small dance in front of the team’s supporters. The celebration video was posted by the Kolkata franchise on their official social media platforms.

In the final match, KKR’s bowlers wreaked havoc after being tasked with bowling first, dismissing SRH for a mere 113 runs, the lowest-ever total in an IPL final. Andre Russell claimed three wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana each secured two scalps.
KKR comfortably chased down the target in just 10.3 overs to secure their third championship title. Venkatesh Iyer was the standout performer with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 52 runs off 26 balls in the chase.

Shreyas Iyer had a respectable performance with the bat in IPL 2024. The right-handed batsman accumulated 351 runs in 14 innings, boasting an average of 39.00 and a strike rate of 146.86.
