The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) kicked off the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) with a stunning win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday, March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Shivam Dube and Rachin Ravindra, who played crucial roles in the match, reflected on the win.

Chennai Super Kings chased down 174 runs with six wickets to spare as Shivam Dube slammed a boundary to take them home. The Chennai Super Kings batting order contributed well, with Rachin finishing as the leading scorer. He smashed 37 runs from just 15 deliveries, with three sixes and as many boundaries. He built good partnerships with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ajinkya Rahane to lay the platform for Chennai’s win.

Post the win, Rachin Ravindra spoke to Shivam Dube, opening up on his debut match for the Chennai Super Kings. He said in a video shared by the IPL,

“It was just nice to have a partnership with Rutu (Ruturaj Gaikwad). He has done this for a long period of time for Chennai, the calming presence he had. And being able to build a partnership with Jinks too was pretty cool in front of a full house.”

Me and Jadeja are still not out from the 2023 Finals: Shivam Dube

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dube came in as an impact player for the franchise against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday, March 22 in Chennai.
