IPL 2024: [Watch] “Tu Bhi mazaq Udhayega Mere Strike Rate Ka?” – LSG Shares Funny Content With KL Rahul

Following Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) securing their third consecutive victory in IPL 2024, the franchise’s official handle shared a humorous video revealing a unique record. The video surfaced after the match at Ekana International Stadium on Sunday, April 8.

In the video, the content creator comically proposed that KL Rahul should consider becoming India’s next defense minister. However, Rahul misunderstood the suggestion, thinking his strike rate of 33 off 31 deliveries was being mocked.

However, he praised the opening batsman for effectively setting up a defense of 163 runs against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

This victory marked LSG’s 15th out of 18 when batting first since their debut in the IPL in 2022.

Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya shine in LSG’s victory against Gujarat Titans

Following Marcus Stoinis’ innings of 58 runs off 42 balls, Lucknow Super Giants set a target of 163 runs for Gujarat Titans to chase. B Sai Sudharshan and Shubman Gill provided a promising start for the Titans. However, the momentum shifted after Yash Thakur bowled out Gill for 19 runs.

The Titans faced further setbacks when Kane Williamson was caught by Ravi Bishnoi with a stunning return catch. Later in the match, Krunal Pandya’s impressive performance saw him dismissing Sudharsan, B Sharath, and Darshan Nalkande, securing remarkable figures of 4-0-11-3.

Meanwhile, Thakur claimed the wickets of Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmed, completing a five-wicket haul. The Titans suffered their second consecutive defeat of the season with a 33-run loss.

Thakur was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance for LSG. The 2022 champions had previously lost to the Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, while securing victories against the Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the Super Giants suffered an initial defeat to the Rajasthan Royals but have since recovered by defeating Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and the Titans.
