The hard-hitting batter Will Jacks joined the list of batters with the fastest century in IPL history. He achieved this milestone against Gujarat Titans in match 45 played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 28th April 2024.
Chasing down 201 runs to win, Will Jacks came to the crease after the fall of the first wicket with scoreboard reading 40. He struggled initially as he was not able to time the ball against Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, and Noor Ahmad. Jacks was given out by the umpire but on review, it was overturned to not out. He then attacked Gujarat Titans’ bowlers with some lusty hits.
Jacks completed fifty off just 31 balls making the batting look easy. After completing his milestone, he just destroyed GT bowling smashing them to all parts of the ground. It was some clean hitting by Jacks putting enough pressure on GT bowlers. He hit 4 successive sixes off Rashid Khan and finished off the match with a six to complete his century off 41 balls. Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a dominating 9-wicket win with 4 overs to spare.
