Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a remarkable impact during the team’s IPL 2025 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, April 19. With his appearance, Suryavanshi became the youngest player ever to debut in IPL history.
Opening the innings for RR in pursuit of a 181-run target, the young left-hander made an immediate impression by smashing a six off the very first ball he faced, bowled by pacer Shardul Thakur. Suryavanshi went on to score 34 runs from just 20 balls, including three sixes and two boundaries, ending with an impressive strike rate of 170.

Suryavanshi’s exciting innings against LSG came to an end in the ninth over of the chase. He was stumped off the bowling of Aiden Markram after losing his balance and stepping out of the crease, allowing Rishabh Pant to quickly remove the bails.
