“I have all awards except POTM”- Suryakumar Yadav shares wife’s comment
Following his unbeaten 73 and the ‘Player of the Match’ award, Suryakumar expressed his excitement about celebrating the achievement with his wife, Devisha Shetty, who always looks forward to such occasions. The elegant right-handed batsman shared this during the post-match presentation, as reported by ESPNcricinfo:
“It has been thirteen games now, my wife told me a sweet story. She said I have gotten all the awards but not the POTM award. This award is really special today. From the team’s point of view, the knock was important today. And this trophy is for her. She waits for such moments and we celebrate it when we go back, so really looking forward to it.”
Mumbai Indians (MI) have one final league match remaining against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, May 26, as they strive to secure a spot among the top two teams. Alongside them, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Gujarat Titans (GT) have also qualified for the playoffs this season.
