In an exciting IPL 2026 clash, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets in a thrilling encounter at Eden Gardens. The match went down to the wire, with LSG chasing down the target in the final overs to seal a memorable victory.

Batting first, KKR posted a competitive total of 181/4 in 20 overs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane led from the front with a well-made 41 runs, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi contributed 45 off 33 balls, providing stability in the middle overs.

However, KKR lost momentum towards the end despite late efforts from Cameron Green and Rovman Powell. For LSG, spinner Digvesh Rathi impressed with the ball, picking up key wickets, including that of Rahane.

In reply, LSG’s chase was anchored by a brilliant knock from Mukul Choudhary, who smashed a match-winning 54 off 27 balls. Ayush Badoni also played a crucial role, scoring a vital half-century that kept LSG in the hunt during the middle overs.

Here are some reactions:

LSG Hold Nerve Despite Wickets as KKR Bowlers Fight Back

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, including key batters like Nicholas Pooran and Abdul Samad, LSG managed to maintain the required run rate.  KKR bowlers tried to fight back, with Anukul Roy and Kartik Tyagi picking up important wickets.

However, LSG held their nerve in the death overs and successfully chased down the target. This win gives LSG a strong boost in the points table, while KKR will be disappointed after failing to defend a solid total.

The match once again highlighted the unpredictable nature of T20 cricket, where individual brilliance and composure under pressure often decide the outcome. Lucknow Super Giants will play their next match on April 12, 2026, against Gujarat Titans in Lucknow, aiming to continue their winning momentum.
