Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a convincing 30-run victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 69 of IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, May 24. After being asked to bat first in the afternoon fixture of a double-header, RR posted a competitive 205/8 before restricting MI to 175/9 in their chase.

For RR, Dhruv Jurel led the scoring with a brisk 38 off 26 deliveries, while Jofra Archer provided a late flourish with a 15-ball 32. Archer then made a significant impact with the ball, finishing with outstanding figures of 3/17 from his four overs. The pace spearhead dismissed key batters Rohit Sharma for a duck, Naman Dhir for 6, and MI captain Hardik Pandya, who scored 34 off 15 balls.

The victory not only strengthened Rajasthan’s campaign but also confirmed their place in the IPL 2026 playoffs. As a result, Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were eliminated from contention. RR joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the tournament’s final four.

Defending champions RCB finished at the top of the IPL 2026 standings with 18 points from 14 matches, registering nine wins and five defeats while maintaining a net run rate of +0.783. They are set to face 2022 champions GT in Qualifier 1 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Tuesday, May 26.

GT also concluded the league phase on 18 points from 14 games, with a net run rate of +0.695. Meanwhile, SRH will lock horns with RR in the Eliminator at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on May 27. SRH secured third place with 18 points, while RR claimed the fourth and final playoff spot with 16 points.

The team that loses Qualifier 1 will get another chance when it meets the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 at Mullanpur on May 29. The IPL 2026 final is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31.

May 26 – Qualifier 1: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala (7:30 PM IST).

May 27 – Eliminator: Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Rajasthan Royals at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, with the match scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST.

May 29 – Qualifier 2: The loser of Qualifier 1 will take on the winner of the Eliminator at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. The contest is set for a 7:30 PM IST start.

May 31 – Final: The winner of Qualifier 1 and the winner of Qualifier 2 will clash in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, beginning at 7:30 PM IST.

In India, fans can watch the live telecast of the IPL 2026 playoffs on the Star Sports network, while live streaming will be available on JioHotstar. Coverage for Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, and Qualifier 2 will begin at 6:30 PM IST, whereas the pre-match broadcast for the final is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM IST.
