2. Anushka Sharma’s bold Instagram story in which she lashed out at Sunil Gavaskar

Veteran commentator Sunil Gavaskar would have never imagined that his casual remarks on air will receive immense critique from all quarters. When Virat Kohli had got out against KXIP on just 1 run, Gavaskar was on air doing Hindi commentary along with Aakash Chopra.

When asked about Kohli’s poor form, Gavaskar shifted focus and involved Anushka Sharma’s name. The former Indian cricketer stated that Kohli has only been able to practice against the balls Anushka was bowling to him at home.

Gavaskar was referring to a video of Anushka and Virat that had gone viral when they were seen playing cricket in their apartment.

However, these comments of Gavaskar were completely blown out of proportion. So much so that Anushka herself lashed out at Gavaskar for accusing her of her husband’s performance.

She advised Gavaskar to stick to relevant words while commentating during a match. Later Gavaskar had to clarify his statements and advised Anushka to once again see the video and hear what he said.
