The Rajasthan Royals has had a poor start to their IPL 2021 campaign. The prominent reasons being the availability of their key international players. Their fast bowler Jofra Archer and all-rounder Ben Stokes have already been ruled out of the IPL due to injuries.

Also, two of their players Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye have opted to pull out of IPL 2021 due to the mental fatigue of bio-bubble. The Rajasthan Royals are struggling with injuries and the availability of overseas players. They have only played 5 IPL matches and only currently have 4 overseas players left in their squad.
Jos Buttler, Chris Morris, David Miller and Mustafizur Rahman are the only 4 overseas players available for Rajasthan Royals. The franchise is in desperate need of support as the majority of IPL 2021 is still remaining.
The Rajasthan Royals have requested player loans after the small window was activated after yesterday’s doubleheaders. The window was begun in the morning today and it is believed Rajasthan Royals has made a request for player loans.
As per the IPL playing conditions, “the loan Window will start at 9 am IST on the day following the 20th league match scheduled for the season and will end at noon IST on the day following the 56th league match scheduled for the season”.
“We have received a request from them a couple of days ago and we have not decided on it. The team management will take a call”, confirmed a CEO from a southern-based franchise to Cricbuzz.
“We will consider if we can loan them a player or two from our surpluses,” said another CEO to Cricbuzz.

Meanwhile, according to IPL rules, a player who has, at the start of the loan period, played (either in the Playing XI or as a Concussion Replacement) less than two matches during the season can be loaned.
Furthermore, he can be loaned in a season only once, it has to be for the entire remainder of the IPL and cannot play against his home franchise. Each franchise may loan no more than three of its players to the same franchisee during the season.
