A total of 3 Australian cricketer have opted out of the ongoing IPL 2021 due to the COVID-19 scare. Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Andrew Tye became the first Australia IPL bound player to pull out of the tournament. Today two more Australia cricketer, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson did the same which is a big blow for RCB.

Now, Cricket Australia has asserted that they are in constant touch with all Australian player and commentators part of IPL 2021. The second wave of Coronavirus in India wreaking devastation as cases is multiplying at a rapid speed every moment.

Cricket Australia In Touch With Their IPL 2021 Bound Players 

There is now huge concerns regarding IPL 2021 as it looks many foreign players might pull out of the tournament. Talking about Australia cricketers, Cricket Australia has declared that they will continue to communicate with players and will obey all the government rules.

“Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association remain in regular contact with Australian players, coaches and commentators taking part in the Indian Premier League, which is being conducted under strict biosecurity protocols,” an official release mentioned, reported by cricket.com.au.

“We will continue to listen to feedback from those on the ground in India and the advice of the Australian Government. Our thoughts are with the people of India at this difficult time,” the release added.

Meanwhile, 14 Australian players still continue to be part of IPL 2021 amidst the coronavirus scare, Several prominent Australia cricketer such as Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, David Warner is still part of the tournament. Recently Aussie fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile who is part of Mumbai Indians shared his views upon the decision of the players who decided to go home.

“Everyone’s got their own opinions on it and different situations for them. I was surprised to see AJ go home, and then Zamps and Richo, but when you speak to them, you definitely understand where they’re coming from,” Coulter-Nile told.

“I spoke to Zamps a little while ago and he made a very compelling argument for going home. But for me, I feel like it’s safer for me to stay in the bubble than try and get home at the moment,” he added.
