We all have heard about King Midas, the king who had ability to turn everything into gold the moment he touched it. Likewise there’s a girl who has got this touch at the moment. And it is not very auspicious!
Zainab Abbas, an anchor from Pakistan is currently in United Kingdom covering Champions Trophy at the moment. She has got an uncanny knack of getting batsmen out for a duck by clicking selfies with them.
A day before the Pakistan vs South Africa game in Edgbaston she was seen clicking a selfie with Proteas skipper AB de Villiers. The next day AB was out for a golden duck. South Africa lost the game against Pakistan on D/L method.

India got off to a really good start in the tournament beating Pakistan by 124 runs. Skipper Virat Kohli scored a scintillating 81* off 68 balls. He met Zanaib Abbas before the game and ended up knicking one to wicket keeper off Nuwan Pradeep when he was on nought. The match against Sri Lanka was expected to be another walk in the park for the men in blue especially after putting 321 runs on the board. However Indian bowlers badly messed up as Sri Lanka cruised home.

Sri Lanka were playing a do or die game against Pakistan at The Cardiff on 12 June. This time it was Mathews’ turn to meet Zainab. Even though he didn’t get out for a duck (scored 39), Sri Lanka let the match slip from their hands and were knocked out of the tournament.

Joe Root did the same and paid price as he was out for 46 and England were crushed by Pakistan in the semifinal of Champions .However this is a mere coincidence and not the girl’s fault at all. It is eventually the cricketers who have to go out in the middle to play.
