Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali wishes to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) if the opportunity presents itself. He expressed that the IPL is “one of the biggest leagues” in world cricket. Some Pakistan players like Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Sohail Tanvir, and a few others played in the inaugural season of the tournament.

Due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, players from Pakistan have been banned from taking part in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is unlikely to change the decision anytime soon. In an interview with Samaa TV, Hasan Ali shared that he wishes to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He said,

“Every player wants to play IPL & it is my wish to play there. It is one of the biggest leagues in the world and I will definitely play there if there is an opportunity in the future.”

Former Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir was one of the star performers for the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008. He played an instrumental role in their title win under Shane Warne. In 11 matches, Tanvir picked up 22 wickets at an economy rate of 6.46, including a six-wicket haul. The pacer was the highest wicket-taker of the season.
