Indian opener Rohit Sharma described the emotions that he went through during the last over of the 2007 T20 World Cup Final, which India won by defeating Pakistan. Bowler Joginder Sharma was under pressure as Misbah-Ul-Haq had gathered 7 runs off the first two balls of his over and was just six runs away from taking his team home.
While speaking to the ICC T20 World Cup website, Rohit said that he was standing at Covers and Yuvraj Singh was standing at his usual position point. He revealed that as soon as Misbah went for the scoop and the ball started to fly towards Sreesanth who was standing at short fine-leg, Yuvraj turned around. According to Rohit, he might have done that either because he did not want to watch that high-pressure moment or he was afraid that Sreesanth might drop that catch.
“The moment Misbah played that shot, I saw Yuvi turning around because he didn’t want to watch it, or may be he was expecting that he [Sreesanth] was going to drop it.”, Rohit Sharma said.
"It's just unbelievable what we did on that day."

It was the most pressure catch that Sreesanth must have taken in his life- Rohit Sharma
As the ball was flying high, Rohit said he was praying to God that Sreesanth should catch it, since it was not a difficult catch but the occasion was so huge that pressure might have resulted in an error.
“He [Sreesanth] just moved two, three steps back and took it. It was the most pressure catch that he must have taken in his life,” said Rohit.
Rohit also talked about the electric atmosphere of the Wanderers Stadium on that day. “At the stadium, you could only see India and Pakistan fans. I think more was India.”, Rohit Sharma recalled.
It should be noted that, in the current Indian squad, Mumbai Indians’ skipper is the only one who was also a part of the team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup. In fact, Rohit is all set to become the first Indian player to feature in all seven editions of the T20 World Cup since it started in 2007.
