Mumbai Indians all-rounder James Neesham often comes up with hilarious memes or tweets on Twitter and has yet again shared another one. Mumbai beat KKR by chasing runs defending 153 to win their second game after losing their opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. KKR messed up the chase with the side needing 31 to win from their final five overs with six wickets in hand. With 19 required from the final two overs, Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult gave just nine runs as the side managed to keep their domination over Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, James Neesham posted a tweet on his official Twitter handle replicating how someone would behave after winning a close encounter which at one point looked all but lost. “Running back to the hotel with that win like.” In the auction that took place in February, the Mumbai-based franchise bought Neesham at his base price of INR 50 lakhs.

Rohit Sharma praised his teammates after managing to win the game in the final overs. He praised the team’s fightback and confidence driven out from this game.

We Had a Great Fightback: Rohit Sharma

“Was a great fightback, excellent fightback by each one of them. You don’t see a game like this often. Lots of confidence from this game and we move forward. KKR batted brilliantly in the powerplay. Rahul came and got us crucial wickets in the middle. Krunal bowling those overs at the end was vital as well,” Rohit said after the game.

On the other hand, the KKR camp was all about disappoitment after such a loss. Team owner Shahrukh Khan apologised Kolkata fans on Twitter while skipper Eoin Morgan echoed his sentiments as well.

“Yes, disappointing (to lose). Played some really good cricket for most parts of the game, we looked comfortable in the chase, but they are a strong team, came back well and sad that it didn’t work out for us. Made a few mistakes, will need to sort it out.”

Mumbai Indians will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next game on April 17 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next match at the same venue on April 18.
